Cottage Concerts began in the spring of 2014 as quarterly house concerts held at the delightful country cottage of Kev Buxton’s partner, Sandy Huddart, in the award winning village of Old near Northampton. In spring 2016, for practical reasons, we relocated to the nearby Old Community Centre, where they continue to go from strength to strength, featuring a mix of Kontra favourites along with some superb acts who we've been unable to book at other Kontra events. Our concerts have proved to be something very special and are enormously popular, regularly selling out. Donations for a typical Cottage Concert are £14-£15 (payable in advance) and include a two course home cooked meal. Old Village is approximately 15 minutes drive from both Kettering and Northampton. Our doors are open from 7pm for food and the concerts start around 8pm. People are welcome to bring their own alcohol, but some soft drinks are provided.
